Introducing your Legends generative NFT artist, Dosbrak.
We are VERY excited to announce world-renowned artist, Dosbrak as the artist for the Legends generative NFT collection.
The Legends NFT collection is the world’s FIRST multi-athlete generative NFT collection, made up of five legendary athletes from 5 different sports. The collection will be made up of 10,000 NFTs, 2,000 per athlete.
Each Legendary athlete will have their own set of traits designed by Dosbrak in partnership with the athletes themselves. The 10,000 NFTs will go up for sale, with users able to mint an NFT at the same time, first come first serve.
Generative NFTs are completely random, the traits assigned to the NFT are randomized using an algorithm. Blockasset has added another layer to gamify this randomness even further, as the athlete you get on mint will also be completely random alongside the traits. Legends NFTs are inspired by childhood memories of opening sports trading cards packs, not knowing which athlete you’ll land. It’s a new concept, which makes this collection incredibly unique, a first in the NFT space.
As an NFT platform-specific to sports, our partnership with Dosbrak is a match made in heaven. The Cork-based creative has earned rave reviews for his absurd depictions of combat sports, and his arrival will see the famous artist apply his wacky and wonderful style to our Legends NFTs. Fans will now be able to own some of the most memorable moments in sports history, from the abstract perspective of the incredibly talented Irishman.
In a world of vanilla graphic design, Dosbrak took it upon himself to shake up the visuals behind the fight game, and he created an Instagram account to showcase his goofy takes on some of the world’s most famous fighters. From his work, it’s clear he has a passion for combat sports.
His work has been endorsed by the likes of Conor McGregor, and Tyson Fury to name just a few, and Joe Rogan of the Joe Rogan Podcast described him as “insanely talented.”
Dosbrak’s high-profile character references earned him a commission with the UFC, who saw enough appeal in his work to relay it to their 29.2 million followers. His impressive pool of clientele does not end here, however, as in 2018, he presented Mike Tyson with a 24-carat gold portrait when the legendary boxer did a speech in the Irish capital of Dublin.
The UFC commissioned Dosbrak to create a digital image for Conor McGregor’s return to the Octagon against Dustin Poirier in January 2021. The result was a more serious illustration of the pair squaring off in a jungle, highlighting the versatility of the world-renowned artist.
Although the work of Dosbrak scores highly on the Richter scale of popularity, little is known about the identity of the man behind the visuals. He has even been described by some as a ‘Sports Banksy’. His website is solely a shrine to his wonderful creations and leaves no clues as to his character.
But even if the name of the creative genius remains a mystery, his work certainly does not, and it is almost certain that we have been exposed to the brilliance of Dosbrak at some point in our lives.
The zany nature of Dosbrak’s work combined with his arcane stature makes him a perfect match for Blockasset. His work exhibits maverick qualities and is loved by people all around the globe, resulting in the accumulation of hundreds of thousands of followers.
The expertise and raw creative talent of the Irishman will take our Legends NFT collection to the next level and will bring sports fans even closer to their idols. Having the artist on board is not only a coup for Blockasset, but for our community and wider Solana NFT ecosystem.
