This week’s newsletter is somewhat of a special edition, as we have major news to close off the month…
We’re thrilled to introduce the latest addition to Blockasset’s stable of athletes, Alex Pereira.
Less than two weeks out from his huge Middleweight Championship bout against Israel Adesanya at UFC 281, Pereira has a message for the Blockasset Community:
“I’m excited to be signing with Blockasset, and looking forward to creating some unforgettable experiences with my fans. Blockasset have done a lot in MMA over the last 12 months, and it’ll be a privilege to use their athlete token platform to connect closely with my fans.”

With today’s huge Alex Pereira announcement pending, a large focus for the marketing team over the last week was to continue growth in Brazil.
We teamed up with Bruno Marquez and Thiago Rocha from Cripto Academia to run a live stream with our very own Talent Director, Gustavo Firmino, and Blockasset athlete Caio Borralho — fresh from his recent win at UFC 280.
Towards the back end of the week, our focus shifted to another of Blockasset’s UFC athletes, Arnold Allen, who extended his win streak to 10 on Saturday, with a TKO victory over Calvin Kattar.
Last week, our media team released a video featuring Arnold Allen, and a competition winner from the Blockasset community, who had won the chance to train with his hero, and discuss Allen’s love of a Tesco meal deal.
Our community team were also extremely busy last week, with some exciting announcements.
We teamed up with WW Ventures to run an online poker tournament on October 27, with $300 of $BLOCK and some Legends NFTs available as prizes.
With Breakpoint, Solana’s flagship conference in Lisbon, Portugal, coming up next week, we also announced that we’re linking up with Delphi Digital to offer a kickboxing masterclass at Lisbon’s number one gym. All attendees will get a Blockasset tracksuit and t-shirt, so if you’re headed to Lisbon next week, you can register for the event here.
We also released details for our next UFC 4 community tournament, one of many initiatives we’ll be co-ordinating to mark the one year anniversary of the Legends NFT drop next week. There’s a $1000 in $BLOCK prize, and you can find full details on how to enter on our Discord.
On that note, this week we’ll continue to prepare for the Legends anniversary. We have promotions, giveaways, competitions, new content and rewards to announce… Let’s just say, there has never been a better time to be a Legends set holder! Complete your set here.
The majority of our Talent team are out in Thailand, together with a large contingent of the Blockasset athlete roster, with training camps ongoing.
It will be no surprise that the focus last week was confirming the finer details of our Alex Pereira announcement, but as always, conversations are ongoing to add further talent to our ever-growing roster.
Talent Director, Gustavo Firmino featured alongside Caio Borralho in a live stream for Academia Cripto, further enhancing our brand exposure throughout Brazil — and we have another episode to announce this week, with another of our Brazilian stars.
Our Product team has made great progress with our athlete token platform over the last week, with more internal testing.
Aside from the athlete token platform, we’re now very close to releasing auction functionality on Blaze, as well as something special to celebrate the anniversary of the Legends collection, watch this space!
Additionally, we continue to build the new platform, which is a few weeks away from Beta launch.
