Blockasset Weekly Newsletter: 17/10/22

During our most recent Discord community survey, one thing was clear: You want to have more regular updates about what is happening behind the scenes at Blockasset.

So, this week we’re launching a weekly newsletter with an update from all of our key departments.

Our first update this week comes from Marketing…

The key focus for marketing throughout Q4 2022 is to work on improving the onboarding process for new users.

Looking at 2022 as a whole, we’re seeing regular visits from 111 countries, and as a result are welcoming a lot of new users to our website.

This week, we’ll be launching a new global brand awareness advertising campaign to run across Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube and Google.

Over recent weeks, we have been working hard in the background to get approval to advertise on these channels — and we’re excited to see how the campaign performs. Initially, we will be targeting people who are already actively interested in Web3 projects, specifically in sport.

Make sure you’re following all of our socials, and turn on notifications so you can share the new video.

You may have already noticed that we have updated the form on our homepage, and you may also have noticed that we’ve added a few features to the form to make it as easy as possible for new users to use.

With increased brand awareness over the coming weeks, we will start to see spikes in traffic. The new homepage form will convert this traffic into users.

When a new user signs up through the homepage form, they enter a draw for the chance to win a $BLOCK reward, which means new users will instantly be engaged with our ecosystem. We also have an automated user journey for these new users, who will receive educational content on $BLOCK, our NFTs and our other products over time.

Our focus isn’t exclusively on new users, though. We’re always thinking of ways to reward our existing community — and we have something exciting planned to mark the one-year anniversary of our Legends NFT drop. Have you completed your set yet? Check out our marketplace here.

On a slightly different subject, we mentioned above that we’re getting regular traffic from 111 countries. Throughout October, we have seen more sessions on our website from Brazil than any other country — and by some distance.

So, we’re currently planning some really powerful localised marketing campaigns for users in Brazil — which should excite a lot of members of our Discord community.

Finally, last week we contacted the winners of our recent Khamzat Chimaev competition. The signed Smesh Bros. gloves are being sent out to winners this week, and we’re working with Khamzat’s team to find a date to get the winner of our grand prize over for a session at Allstars Gym in Stockholm.

The response to the Khamzat competition was incredible, so we’ll have further athlete competitions coming in the future… especially with some new athletes about to sign to join our roster.

On that note…

This week is absolutely huge for our Talent team.

Petr Yan is one of four Blockasset athletes fighting at UFC 280 in Abu Dhabi on Saturday night.

But, before that all unfolds, we have an extra-special athlete announcement to reveal.

We’re just a matter of hours away from announcing the first female athlete to join our roster. Can you guess who it is?

The hard work doesn’t stop there… some of our Talent team are currently on the ground in Thailand completing the final negotiations on further athlete agreements. Watch this space!

The team have been working hard behind the scenes on the new Blockasset platform.

Just today we have signed off on designs for user profiles, user onboarding and our athlete social feed. We are an NFT and token project, but we want to create an online space for our community to be proud of and for you to make your own, and the social element will be a core pillar of the Blockasset project moving forward.

The designs are looking incredible and we can’t wait to show you what we’ve been working on over the last few weeks and months!

As part of the new platform, our website is getting a complete re-design. Expect a new marketplace, athlete stores, full athlete hubs, leaderboards, athlete token trading, and so much more.

We’ve kept details of the full platform under wraps, but expect teasers and more information on this in the coming weeks as we aim for a December launch.

As we head into November we’ll be looking out for select community members to test the new platform before it goes live. If you haven’t done so, join our Discord to be the first to hear about product releases and you could be the first to try out the platform.
