Wow. What a week that was…

12 months after launching our Legends NFT collection in Times Square, we had further reason to celebrate in New York City with Alex Pereira becoming the third UFC Champion on the Blockasset roster, with his fifth-round stoppage of Israel Adesanya at Madison Square Garden.

As well as our Media Team’s awesome content series — which was a major catalyst in us tripling our follower count on TikTok in the space of a week — we launched our first athlete store with ‘POATAN’, with an influx of orders coming in from the US, Canada, Brazil, Turkey, Australia and more.

Loaded with exclusive, official merchandise, signed memorabilia and experiences, the store is an early iteration of what will be made available for all of our athletes when our athlete token platform launches in the near future. Make sure you check it out here.

In the run-up to Alex Pereira’s iconic performance on Saturday, we were celebrating the first anniversary of our Legends NFT drop.

We kicked the celebrations off with Jonah Lomu day last Monday, and then dedicated each day of the week to the rest of our Legends, culminating in Muhammad Ali day on Friday.

Our Community Managers had a busy week, with a stacked calendar of events throughout Legends week, including quizzes, a UFC 4 tournament, a chess tournament, poker and more, but the excitement peaked when Blockasset Legend, Wayne Rooney, joined our Discord for a Q&A on Wednesday!

On that note, we also launched a fire pit on Blaze for a limited-edition England jersey signed by the Manchester United and Three Lions’ record goalscorer, which helped us achieve the milestone of 5,000,000 $ASSET tokens burned on Blaze since launch!

Despite these difficult market conditions, it was great to see our community engaging in our Legends week activities and promotions, with over 1780 SOL revenue generated on secondary market sales throughout the week, with 347 Legends NFTs purchased across our own NFT marketplace, Magic Eden, Solanart and Hyperspace between Monday and Friday.

Thanks to the success of our first BLOCK SIX UFC predictions game, we launched a new edition for #UFC281 last Thursday— and doubled the prize pool to $2,000 in $BLOCK.

Over 330 people participated in the game, with one user correctly predicting the winner, round and method of victory for three of the six fights.

Block Six will be back for UFC 282, which takes place in Las Vegas on December 10, with plans to build fight predictions and other similar games into the platform in the near future!
