BLOCK Party Live from London & series end
We finished Series 1 of BLOCK Party on a real high, overlooking the O2 arena and Canary Wharf in London with community members, athlete guests and an incredible show as always from our hosts Adam and Nick.
Community members were able to sit and chat with all our athlete guests, real fan-athlete connectivity, it’s what this is all about! If you missed out, don’t worry, this was the first of many community events coming up, not just in London but around the world.
If you missed the final episode of the season you can catch it here, guests include Blockasset community favourites Guram Kutateladze and Arnold Allen, as well as Heavyweight contender Curtis Blaydes.

Blaze platform is live
That first sneaky mysterious area on our roadmap was revealed last week to be the Blaze platform. A revolutionary new concept; burn your BLOCK and ASSET tokens for a chance to win athlete prizes. From NFTs, merch, and signed memorabilia to real-life athlete experiences.
The launch has been a huge success, so far you’ve burned:
- 95,100 BLOCK 🔥
- 650,000 ASSET 🔥
Remember, more burning means less supply on the market, as more demand comes and the supply goes lower, exciting things can happen.
Community members have won some unbelievable athlete prizes, including a Legends NFT set, UFC London tickets, Blockasset x Yelir merch and a training session in Sweden with The Smesh Bros Darren Till and Khamzat Chimaev!

Just today we’ve dropped a Rooney NFT and a real Dosbrak bandana, a special one for the community right there!
New addition to the team
We’re always on the lookout for new talent to join the team, and July was no different, as we hired a new Digital Marketing Manager, Shaun Simmonds. Shaun has an incredible amount of experience, not just in digital marketing, but in the sports and web3 world, he’s previously run sponsorship and marketing campaigns for the UK’s biggest betting companies, has an incredible sports copywriting background and most importantly was a BLOCK holder before joining the team ✊ He’ll be jumping into the Discord soon, so please give him a warm welcome.
What to expect in August
Usyk NFT drop
World Heavyweight Boxing Champion, Oleksandr Usyk is working with Blockasset to release a limited digital art collection ahead of his showdown with Anthony Joshua. Each piece is completely unique and randomly generated, with profits going to the USYK Foundation to support Ukraine.
The insanely talented Irish artist Dosbrak returns to Blockasset for the Usyk collection. Each trait in the Usyk collection was hand-painted by Dosbrak himself, paying homage to Usyk’s background, achievements, colourful personality, and of course, his home country of Ukraine.
Look out on Blockasset socials this week for the official reveal and more details.
As we gear up for the Usyk mint, we would like to invite all Legends set holders to fill out this form to help us verify all holders and the numbers of sets each holder has.
Oh, and the mint page for the collection is beautiful, the first look is coming this week!
New site launch
The Blaze platform is a sneak peek of what can be expected when our new look site goes live.
Coming up in August you can expect:
- A new homepage
- A new staking platform
- A new BLOCK swap page
- Improvements to Blaze
The designs are looking tasty, and we can’t wait to show you what we’ve been working on.
What else we’re working on
Other than the above, here’s what the team are working on over the coming weeks:
Asset Store
It’s on the way, opening the store isn’t as simple as other areas of the platform, as there is a ton of logistics to take into account, but we’re on track to have the store MVP live by the end of Q3.
User profiles & full social integration
Our dev team are hard at work to ensure Blockasset becomes your new home of social media. We have big social plans for the site, this won’t all happen at once but we’re on track to release the first iteration of user-profiles and social integration sooner than expected.
Partnerships
We’re always looking to expand our partnerships and we have a few very interesting deals in the works, of course, we can’t say anything about these just yet, but they are potentially game-changing not only for the project, but for BLOCK and NFT holders.
More hires
As stated above, we’re always looking for new talent in the team, and expect to make further hires in Q3 & Q4.
Community feedback & communication
We hear you, more communication is needed, we’ll be running team AMAs on a regular basis. We’re also working with our new Marketing Manager and our CXO (Wuntime) to get your feedback so we can improve the platform and the community together.
