Blockasset post Legends evaluation & Q4 Roadmap

The Legends NFTs are live and the BLOCK token launch approaches, there’s a lot happening right now at Blockasset and we want our community to be fully aware of what’s happening as we approach the end of the year.

This is our short-term roadmap:

Legends

A look back…

As we all know, the mint could have been smoother. It seems like a stressful launch is a right of passage on Solana by this point! Once again we can only apologise to the community for the delays, in the end we all pulled through together and we are incredibly humbled by all of the support the community showed, it really gave the team the energy needed to make it through the process.

But looking back, it wasn’t all so bad, we managed to take over Times Square before the initial mint by showcasing the world’s largest Candy Machine on the One Times Square screens, this gave the project world wide coverage on various news outlets and has caught the attention of a number of well known sports brands, agencies and athletes that have been in touch with Blockasset since!

Since this time we have given away a trip to New York for two lucky Legends holders, one of which will see their Legends NFTs up in lights at Times Square!

We’ve also seen Liverpool and England soccer star Trent Alexander-Arnold change his profile picture to a Muhammad Ali Legend NFT, believe it or not mainstream adoption is coming to Blockasset.

In the days following the launch some of the Blockasset team were in Lisbon for Solana’s Breakpoint event, the team made some incredible contacts on the trip and have already established a new partnership with an project that will make mainstream adoption a seamless process, more on this towards the end of the year!

Post launch objectives…

Post launch there were a few things that needed our attention before we could begin all the fun stuff (Rewards and Legends Club), here’s what we’ve been working on post launch.

• Artwork issues: We noticed that some artwork did not match the traits, this has been a priority for us and we can confirm the issues are now resolved. Rooney Red Card holders rejoice!
• Listings: We are now listed on SolanaFloor, however we are still eagerly awaiting listings on HowRareIs and Solanalysis, we expect these to go live this week but listing is now out of our hands, we’re waiting patiently with you.
• Unopened boxes: There are still a few people with unopened DropBoxes, we extended the date to mint twice and the majority of people were able to mint on time. If you did not mint on time please contact a member of the team on Telegram or Discord and we can work with you on a case by case basis to resolve your issue. If you bought your DropBox from the open market after mint closed there is unfortunately nothing we can do for you.
• Grape: We were lucky enough to get Grape set up much faster than we expected and the Legends Club is now live, more on this below.

The Legends Club

The Legends Club is now live! We’ve created a set of Discord channels only accessible to those with a Legends NFT in their wallet. We’ve used Grape protocol to ensure a smooth experience, users can access the Legends Club by following the Grape FAQ channel info in our Discord.

The Legends Club is the beginning of the Legends DAO, where the holders of the LegendsNFTs will have a say on the future of the collection. Perks of the Legends Club include:

• Access to athlete AMA’s, expect to see Wayne Rooney and Michael Bisping in the Legends Club soon for AMAs, open only to Legends holders.
• Chat with athletes: Blockasset plan to onboard all our athletes onto Discord so they can chat with you, the fans on a regular basis.
• Fantasy sports: Our athletes will be participating in fantasy sports leagues with you, with some big prizes up for grabs. We’ve teamed up with Solana project Phantasia to bring you a full on-chain fantasy sports experience.
• Vote: We’re looking into a full governance structure for the Legends Club, more on this towards the end of the year.

In terms of dates, you can expect our first AMAs in the Legends Club to take place before the end of November, including an AMA with the Blockasset team and the Legendary artist who created the Legends, Dosbrak. We expect fantasy sports and Legends governance and voting to go live in December.

Prizes and rewards

This has been a common question in the community, we have a number of prizes to give away, including a trip to New Zealand, to Washington, Vegas, the UK and to a world-heavyweight boxing match, with meet and greets with Wayne Rooney, Alex Ovechkin and Michael Bisping, signed merch and a Rooney testimonial Hublot watch all up for grabs.

Here’s how the prize draws will operate:

All prizes will be announced before the end of the year, we know people want us to announce these straight away but in doing so would be of no benefit to Legends NFT holders, by spreading out the prizes over the next few weeks towards the end of the year, we can ensure that Legends are removed from the open markets in order to participate, giving the floor price a chance to rise as there are less NFTs available for sale.

The first prize we are giving away is the Wayne Rooney priceless testimonial Hublot watch, all Rooney NFT holders (not listed on an exchange) will be entered into the draw and a snapshot will be taken by December 1, the winner will then receive a special NFT into their wallet declaring them the winner, all they have to do is contact the team who can verify the winning NFT.

We hope you understand our reasoning in spreading out our prizes until the end of the year, it’s for the good of the project, if you are a long term Legends holder you just need to hold on tight!

We are working on a few ideas to reward holders on a larger scale, with thousands of Legends holders this isn’t easy, but we are working on something!

As a reminder, here’s all the prizes that are up for grabs in our lotteries before the end of the year:

• A Wayne Rooney testimonial Hublot watch — only 65 in existence
• A trip to New Zealand for two to watch the All Blacks
• A trip to Vegas for two to meet Mike Bisping and an MMA training session with the man himself!
• 2 x tickets to a World Heavyweight Boxing bout, hopefully the Joshua vs Usyk rematch if this can be arranged!
• A signed All Blacks rugby jersey
• 2 x tickets to an England football match and a meet & greet with Wayne Rooney
• 2 X tickets to an Ice Hockey match in Washington, USA and a meet and greet with Alex Ovechkin

• 2 x tickets to a UFC event
• Official signed Muhammad Ali gloves

We will continue to honour the Blockasset Legends with regular prizes into next year with ‘On this day’ rewards, e.g On this day Feburary 12 2011 Wayne Rooney scored a famous overhead kick vs Manchester City, to celebrate we are airdropping an NFT commemorating this moment to all Rooney NFT holders, plus a lottery for a signed Rooney Manchester United jersey. Please note this is just an example or what you can expect from next year!

Legends sales

It’s been incredible to see how much love the community is showing for Legends NFTs, buyers are really showing their appreciation for the artwork and rarities by Dosbrak. There are clearly a number of savvy buyers who are sniping up some Legends at great prices, whilst there are many that recognise the quality of many of the NFTs and are buying for prices over 20 and 30 SOL.

With NFT staking on the way we’re very confident that the only way is up for Legends NFTs, as he NFT market begins to mature we’re sure we’ll see new users come into the Blockasset ecosystem, Legends are our genesis NFTs and will be linked to the success of the whole product, this is just the beginning, we just ask for patience whilst we build our product over the coming weeks and months.

BLOCK token

TGE

The BLOCK token generation event is scheduled for early December 2021, we will announce further details on this soon. We have teamed up with the best in the business for the launch, keep an eye on our socials for more info.

Token use case

For those who aren’t aware, the BLOCK token has been in the works for a few months now, we’ve been working hard to ensure our token use case and tokenomics are solid. BLOCK token use case includes:

• Reduced costs on Blockasset NFTs when purchased with BLOCK
• BLOCK tokens used to purchase NFTs will be burned, reducing supply
• Single asset staking, lock up your tokens to earn extra BLOCK
• NFT games, BLOCK will be the native token for future Blockasset NFT games
• Governance: BLOCK token holders will govern the eco-system. BLOCK holders will be able to submit and vote on proposals for project improvements, as well as propose and vote on athlete content, signings and much more.
• NFT farming: the jewel in the Blockasset crown, BLOCK token holders can stake tokens and save up for exclusive NFTs, Legends NFTs, gaming NFTs, signed athlete merch, real world athlete rewards (tickets to games etc), early access to NFT drops and much more!

Product and team — short term

Marketplace and website

Blockasset is currently adding to our development team and making plans for our marketplace, this is where all future NFT collections will drop, and where all NFT holders will be able to sell their NFTs with reduced fees compared to other NFT marketplaces. We aim to have the first iteration of our marketplace live in Q1 next year, we will then build our marketplace out in co-operation with our community, ensuring their needs and wants are met.

We will soon re-introduce our fee NFT feature, one of our favourite features that enables new users to mint their own custom Blockasset NFT, a perfect way to introduce newcomers to the NFT world!

Team expansion

The team are now looking to rapidly expand and bring in new faces to help us level up and reach our goals. We will announce all new hires as they happen, watch this space.

Long term objectives (Q1 & Q2 2022)

For all long term objectives please read over our white paper, our long term goal is to bring the mainstream sports fans to Blockasset and into the NFT space, all of our goals set us up to achieve an easy user onboarding and outstanding NFT buying experience with long lasting utility for sports fans.

To summarise these are our long term objectives going into Q1 and Q2 next year.

• Governance portal for full governance and BlockAccess content governance
• Large sports brand, agency and team partnerships with custom marketplace solutions
• Community integration with social wallet sign ups, leaderboards and Discord integration into the platform
• More NFT drops with huge sports stars and sports teams
